Part 1

Nehemiah 8:10 says “Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for [this] day [is] holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength”.

Happiness is something we all desire to have in life. Happiness is a human emotion that is attainable by the achieving of our human desires in life. It is easy to be happy when things appears to be working the way we want it to work however how do we continue to be happy when things are not working according to our human desires. This is where the joy of the Lord is our strength. To be without the joy of the Lord is to be emotionally disabled and a person that is emotionally disabled cannot make any spiritual progress. The joy of the Lord is not something we can achieve by ourselves because God’s joy is spiritual strength in our souls. God’s joy keeps us matching ahead to God’s glory even when it seems all hope is lost and with God’s Joy, we are always strong to carry on even when we are weak.

The message “Joy of the Lord 1&2” highlights that we cannot achieve spiritual joy by carnal means because joy is a gift from God and God gave us his joyful gift to empower us to overcome our human emotions that are always there to keep us in a spiritual stagnant position.
